The KingS School Gloucester
The King's School, Gloucester is one of the seven famous Cathedral Schools established by Henry VIII in 1541. Whilst initially a Choir School, it has grown considerably over the years into the leading co-educational independent school in the area, with around five hundred pupils, aged three to eighteen. The Cathedral choristers continue to form an important part of our school community. You still have to be a boy to be a chorister, but we have been welcoming girls into the school for almost 30 years. Our innovative programme of enrichment activities is designed to capture the imagination of our most able pupils, and to provide them with the opportunities to extend work undertaken in the classroom.
